Not much going on today and nothing really of note to talk about. Except for the fact that it's November 12 and it's about 60 or 65 degrees outside. When does that happen? If this is what global warming does, I'm digging it. =) Normally it's 20 degrees and windy as heck outside this time of year. I don't think I'm going to complain about 60 and sunny.
I'm spending my day finishing up the first round of edits on a book and then I'll spend most of this evening reading subs. I've had to many edits lately, the subs have slipped, so I'll be getting TONS of those done this week. Now, if only I could find time to read something I WANT to read. =)

And I'll say it again...
...and again and again and again. Don't email me/us/whoever a month after you have subbed a story. Again, READ THE AUTOMATED RESPONSE! Ten to twelve weeks, people. If three months have passed and you haven't heard anything, then email. But I'll say it again, at any given time, we've got fifteen to thirty stories to read...and most of them were subbed before you. When you bug us, you irritate us and we start to doubt whether or not we'd like to work with you as an author if you're a pest. =) You're not the only one who wants their story read and published. Trust me on that one. LOL
And as an author...it is your duty to learn and utilize Track Changes. Every publishing house I've ever worked for has used them, so that's pretty standard. Learn the tool and learn it well.
Okay, enough for today...I think.

To edit or to paint the house, that is the question
And, well, painting the house won. :( Yeah, I'd rather edit, but now it's 8:15 in the evening and I'm finally sitting down to get some edits done. I'm guessing not too many will get done, given the way I feel right now. Blech. Plus, I now have two painted cats. They just wouldn't stay away! So, a striped down the top of each of their heads kept them hiding from me all day, which served its purpose in keeping them away. :) And I just send the Myles to pick up pizza, so thank God I don't have to make dinner tonight. I don't think I could handle it. LOL Wow, that's sad. So now, I'm off to do some edits on Rebecca Goings next book, Hearts Unbound. Wonderful story, by the way. And it's out in November from Samhain, of course.
